He placed third in the 110-meter hurdles and won the handicap 120-yard hurdles at the 1904 Olympic Games. A two-year letterman in track, he set the Cornell indoor hurdles record for 100 yards in 1904 and the outdoor mark in the 120-yard hurdles in 1905.
