ITHACA, N.Y.—Cornell wrestling's Steve Anceravage has been named EIWA Wrestler of the Week after recording a perfect 5-0 record at the Southern Scuffle to win the individual title at 174 pounds. Anceravage won by fall in overtime in the finals to drive Cornell to win the team title.

The Big Red trailed Edinboro by one point following the 165 pound finals, where sophomore Mack Lewnes won the title. Anceravage's opponent Chris Henrich of Virginia was undefeated going into the bout and the two battled to a 4-4 stalemate after regulation. In the first overtime, the two wrestlers got into a scramble, and Anceravage was able to lean back and secure the fall and win bonus points for his team. The Big Red won the tournament by five points.

Anceravage is currently a perfect 14-0 for the season and has also won titles at the Brute Binghamton Open and Body Bar Invitational.

The Big Red will travel to Cedar Falls, Iowa Jan. 10-11 for the National Duals.
