ITHACA, N.Y. -- The Cornell equestrian team will finish out its 2009 fall schedule when it competes in the Skidmore Show on Saturday, Nov. 21, at the Van Lennep Riding Center in Saratoga Springs, N.Y. Skidmore currently sits in first place in the regional standings, while Cornell is right behind in second.
The Big Red, coming off a pair of top three finishes in its last two outings, will not compete for another three months while continuing to train during the winter in the barn. The Big Red will compete with 14 other schools in an attempt to qualify riders for the zone and regional championships in one of several events: open, intermediate and novice equitation over fences, open, intermediate and novice flat equitation, beginner and advanced walk-trot-canter, walk-trot and alumni events.
