ITHACA, N.Y. – Nearly 300 runners converged at the Cornell Plantations today to take part in the fifth annual 21 Run, hosted by the Big Red men's lacrosse team. The event, which honors the late Mario St.
George Boiardi who wore the No. 21 as captain of the Cornell men's lacrosse team, raised more than $8,500 for the Family Reading Partnership of Ithaca.
The 5K run was won by Brandon Brown, a Cornell junior Government major, in a time of 15:53, followed by former Big Red men's lacrosse player Ethan Vedder '07, who took second in 17:00.
