ITHACA, N.Y. -- The Big Red women's lacrosse team opens its fall ball season when it heads up I-81 to compete in the Syracuse Women's Lacrosse Play Day on Saturday, Oct. 9 beginning at 10 a.m. The Big Red will play Syracuse, a 2010 Final Four participant, at 10 a.m. at the women's lacrosse field, then meets Albany at 12L45 p.m. on the same field.

The games will all be 20 or 25 minute running halves with a 10-minute halftime. Other schools participating in the event at the Canadian Under-19 national team, Canisius and Cortland.
