ITHACA, N.Y. -- The Cornell gymnastics team finished second out of five teams at the Big Red Invitational, held on Saturday afternoon at Teagle Gym. Bridgeport won the event with a total score of 190.550, with Cornell just .35 behind. Towson finished third with a total of 188.900, followed by Southern Connecticut State (185.850) and Ithaca College (182.750).

Molly Parker had a huge day for the Big Red on the uneven parallel bars, winning that event with a score of 9.725. Melanie Standridge also had a solid day, tying for first on the beam with Bridgeport's Emily Repko, with both gymnasts tallying 9.800 on the apparatus.
