ITHACA, N.Y. -- After hard defeats on the road, the Cornell men's and women's polo teams will return home for their final tuneups before the Northeast Regional championships this weekend when both teams meet the Toronto Polo Club. The women will play on Friday, March 5 at 7:30 p.m. at Oxley Equestrian Center, while the men will compete on Saturday, March 6 with a 7:30 p.m. start.

The women dropped their first contest of 2009-10 when the Wildcats claimed a 14-12 victory on Feb. 20 in Lexington, Ky. to fall to 12-1 on the year. Toronto leads the all-time series between the teams 9-3-2, with Cornell's last win coming during the 2001-02 campaign, an 18-9 Big Red victory.

The men have a two-game losing skid with the latest coming in a 12-11 defeat at the hands of Kentucky on Feb. 21. The Big Red last faced Toronto last season, winning a 15-12 decision at Oxley on Feb. 14, 2009 and now leads the all-time series 13-6-1.
