ITHACA, N.Y. -- With a tremendous amount of momentum, the Cornell equestrian team will head into this weekend's Zone II Region 3 Championships at Skidmore College on Saturday, April 3, looking to bring home the championship Cup. The show will be held at the Van Lennep Riding Center with competition beginning at 8 a.m. in Saratoga Springs, N.Y.

Cornell has scored more than 40 points in three straight competitions and won its last two, earning high point team at both Skidmore and Hartwick. The last time the Big Red competed at Van Lennep Riding Center, it scored a season-best 43 points to hold off both Skidmore and Hartwick at the top. Those two teams are again expected to be the Big Red's top competition.

In all, the Big Red has finished in the top three in the last six district shows. Cornell will also attempt to extend its streak of shows with at least 30 points scored to eight.
