ITHACA, N.Y. -- The Cornell golf team will head to the home of seven U.S. Opens in search of its first-ever Ivy League championship this weekend when its fivesome tackles the course at Baltusrol Golf Club in Springfield Township, N.J. The three-day, 54-hole tournament begins on Friday, April 23 and concludes with the final round on Sunday, April 25.

The historic course, which has had greats from Bobby Jones, Jack Nicklaus, Arnold Palmer and Tiger Woods walk its 18 holes, will host the eight Ivy League schools for the first time. Columbia is the defending champion on the men's side, while Harvard has won consecutive women's championships. Cornell's best finish came when it placed second in 2005.
