ITHACA, N.Y. -- As both teams opened practice for the 2010-11 season, the Cornell men's and women's soccer programs have added a wealth of experience to both teams' coaching staffs. Keith Comfort will join both programs as an assistant coach, while T.J. Love will join the men's coaching staff as an assistant coach.

Comfort will work with both the men's and women's teams, boasting a wealth of experience in the collegiate level. A former collegiate head coach, he most recently worked at the collegiate level as a goalkeeper coach for the men's program at Colgate University from 1999 through 2005.

A three-year varsity starter and two-year first-team all-league selection, Comfort also earned Division II All-American honors during his playing career as a goalkeeper at the University of California-Davis, where he graduated in 1984. Following graduation, he was named the head coach of the women's team at UC-Davis in September 1985, where he coached through the end of the 1988 season.

Comfort earned a master's degree in education at the University of Colorado in 1993 and was a teacher and coach at Greeley Central High School from 1993 through 1998 when he moved to Central New York, taking a position at Jamesville-Dewitt High School. He served as the head coach at Fayetteville-Manlius High School from 2001 through 2003 and was a goalkeeper coach for the Colgate men from 1999 through 2005. In 2005, he began a five-year tenure as an assistant coach for the boy's program at Fayetteville-Manlius.

Joining the men's coaching staff will be T.J. Love, a former player at Daemen College from 2003-04. Love spent the 2009 season as an assistant coach at Elmira College, where he is currently completing a master's degree in education, and most recently was on the coaching staff at Keuka College. Love has extensive experience coaching club soccer in the Southern Tier of New York while also having coached at various high schools around the area.

A native of Watkins Glen, N.Y., Love has a NSCAA Advanced National Diploma and is nearing completion of his USSF C License.
