ITHACA, N.Y. – Cornell University will host the upcoming Ivy League Men's Lacrosse Tournament this weekend at Schoellkopf Field in Ithaca. The top-seeded Big Red will play in the second of two semifinal games on Friday, May 6, facing fourth-seeded Yale in an 8 p.m. contest. The day begins with second-seeded Penn battling third-seeded Harvard in a 5 p.m. matchup in the first semifinal. The championship game will be played on Sunday, May 8 at noon. GAME TICKETS
It is recommended fans purchase tickets to the games in advance to avoid long lines at the gates. Tickets to both games can be purchased on-line at
www.CornellBigRedTickets.com or by calling the Cornell Athletic Ticket Office at 607-254-BEAR, Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Package tickets for both games, and family four-pack discount tickets are only available by phone or in person at the Box Office in Bartels Hall. The Athletic Ticket Office will be open 1.5 hours prior to the start of Sunday's game.
The gates to Schoellkopf Field open at 4 p.m. on Friday and 11 a.m. on Sunday. Tickets may be purchased at the gates beginning at those times (cash only).
Please be advised, any Cornell issued passes ARE NOT valid for post-season games including Ivy-League tournament and/or NCAA playoffs.
TRAFFIC ADVISORY
Due to ongoing road construction near the Friedman Wrestling Center, fans are encouraged to enter campus via Hoy Road to avoid congestion and traffic delays. Fans are advised to travel east on Campus Road to access the Crescent Parking lot for tailgating.
PARKING
Free parking for Friday's semifinals is available in the lower C lot and in the Parking Garage adjacent to Schoellkopf Field beginning at 4 p.m. Fans arriving prior to 4:00 p.m. on Friday should stop at an information booth upon entering campus to purchase a visitor parking permit or to be directed to a metered parking lot. Weekend parking on campus is free in all lots unless otherwise posted.
TAILGATING
Tailgating will ONLY be allowed in the upper C-Lot, located directly behind the Schoellkopf Field Crescent. Tailgating permits are $10/day and are only available upon entering the lot. Tailgating is not permitted prior to 4 p.m. on Friday and 9 a.m. on Sunday. Charcoal grills are NOT permitted.
BROADCAST INFORMATION
Lacrosse fans not able to make this weekend's Ivy League Men's Lacrosse Tournament at Schoellkopf Field in Ithaca will have a variety of ways to follow the action on Friday and Sunday. Friday's semifinals will be available online through ESPN3.com, with Sunday's championship game televised live on ESPNU.
