Dake chose to start the third period down on the mat and escaped as time was running out. Monk chose neutral for the third period. At 125 pounds, 10

The two were tied at 3-3 after Garrett quickly escaped. Garrett chose to start the second down and almost notched a reversal but time ran out in the period. Waters reversed Garrett from his opening down position in the third. Garrett once again almost grabbed the reversal, but settled for an escape. Garrett was looking to score late in the bout, but Waters evaded him. With 2:05 in riding time, Waters won a 6-4 decision.
