KENT, Ohio -- Cornell posted a season-high score of 192.425 to better its position for qualifying for USAG Nationals, but it wasn't enough to surpass Kent State on Sunday afternoon at the M.A.C. Center.

Melanie Standridge placed second at the meet on beam with an impressive 9.875, but Kent State went 1-5 on vault and had the top six finishers on bars en route to a 196.025. It was the second straight weekend the Flashes had surpassed 196.000.
