ITHACA, N.Y. -- After consecutive strongs weekends well above 191.000, the Big Red gymnastics team will attempt to continue its climb up the regional reankings when it visits Brown on Sunday, March 11 at 1 p.m.
Cornell finished fourth in a home quad meet last weekend on Senior Day at Teagle Hall, but posted a strong 191.275 to do so. Lexi Schupp had a strong day individually with Cornell's top score in two events and the second-highest score in a third.
The prior weekend, Cornell and Brown saw each other at the Ivy Classic, hosted by the Big Red at Newman Arena. The host school finished second in a field of four teams with a 191.875. The Bears weren't far behind in third after scoring a 191.075.
The two breakout meets came after six consecutive outings scoring between 188.675 and 189.900. Brown leads the all-time series between the schools 13-7-1 in dual meets, though Cornell dominated a year ago at Teagle Gymnasium with a 193.100-190.925 victory.
