PRINCETON, N.J. – For the third time this season, Cornell freshman
Matt Donovan has been named the Ivy League Rookie of the Week. The Morristown, N.J. native was also named the conference's Rookie of the Week on March 5 and March 26.
Donovan led the Big Red to a 7-5 win at Dartmouth on March 31 by assisting on a career-high three goals. The rookie attackman provided feeds that led to three consecutive Cornell tallies spanning the second and third quarters to help the Big Red jump out to a 5-1 lead. Donovan currently ranks second on the team with 21 points on 10 goals and 11 assists.
The Big Red is back in action on Saturday, April 7 as it welcomes Harvard to Schoellkopf Field for a battle of Ivy League unbeatens. Face-off is slated for 1 p.m.
