Following the most successful season in program history with a fourth-place finish at the national championships, three men's squash players have been named All-Americans by the College Squash Association – junior
Nick Sachvie and seniors
Alexander Domenick and
Thomas Spettigue. All three were named to the second team.
Sachvie, competing at the No. 1 spot, went 11-8 in dual matches on the season. He also recorded an important win over Kenneth Chan of Yale in his opening match at the national championships. The junior was also unanimously named All-Ivy First Team earlier this spring.
Domenick, competing solely at the No. 2 spot, posted an 8-4 record in dual matches. He also contributed a vital three-game win against Yale in the opening round of the Potter Cup. The co-captain of the Big Red squad was also named All-Ivy First Team.
Spettigue, tied for the team lead with an 85.7% winning percentage among players who competed in at least half of the team's matches, registered an impressive 12-2 record in dual matches, including eight straight wins to end the season. He also led the way for the squad at the Potter Cup, claiming victory in each of his three matches. Spettigue has also garnered All-Ivy First Team honors, in addition to being named team MVP for his outstanding play this season.
With three All-American selections, Cornell tied Trinity for second-most, trailing only Princeton who posted four selections.
