CHAPEL HILL, N.C. -- Due to the threat of inclement weather on Friday, the start times for that day's games at the NCAA Chapel Hill Regional have been changed. East Carolina and St. John's will now begin at 11 a.m., and the second game between Cornell and North Carolina will start approximately 50 minutes after the conclusion of Game 1.
As of Thursday evening, the National Weather Service Forecast Office in Raleigh, N.C. was forecasting strong to severe thunderstorms to beginning descending on the area in the afternoon with probabilities increasing toward the evening. The ominous forecast has prompted tournament officials to make the pre-emptive strike of moving game times to earlier in the day.
