WEST WINDSOR, N.J. – At the 2012 USRowing Olympic Trials, held this morning on Lake Mercer in West Windsor, N.J., Cornell alumnus Ken Jurkowski '03 earned his second Olympic berth by winning the  men's single event.

“I'm happy that I got this step taken care of,” Jurkowski told USRowing. “There's a brief time of appreciating where I am, but realistically, there is a lot more work to do between now and the next event, the Olympics, and I'll just get back to work finding more speed.”

Jurkowski took the lead early in his race and cruised to the finish with a commanding advantage of nearly two full boat lengths of open water over a field of three competitors.
