ITHACA, N.Y. – Brianne Jenner took control of the Big Red offense this season and helped lead the team to its fourth consecutive Ivy League championship, and for that she was named the Ivy League's Player of the Year on Thursday.

Jenner, who also made the Ivy League First-Team, is joined by seven other Big Red players who earned recognition from the league on Thursday. Cornell's eight players on the All-Ivy teams are more than any other Ivy League school.

Jenner is the fourth consecutive Ivy League Player of the Year for the Big Red after Rebecca Johnston '12 won last year, Laura Fortino claimed the award in 2011 and Catherine White '12 won during her sophomore year in 2010.  She has twice scored six points in a game and had an active 13-game point-scoring streak in the middle of the season. She leads ECAC Hockey with 55 points on 28 goals and 27 assists. She was also a First Team selection last season.

Jenner and defenseman Lauriane Rougeau were unanimous All-Ivy First Team selections by the league's coaches, while sophomore Jillian Saulnier also made the First Team.

Rougeau made the All-Ivy First Team during her freshman year in 2009-10. She is the team's leading defenseman in plus/minus with +34 and has 22 points this season. She was an All-Ivy first-teamer last year as well.

Saulnier is Cornell's second-highest scorer with nine goals and 31 assists. She was the Ivy League Rookie of the Year and Honorable Mention All-Ivy last season.

Junior forward Jessica Campbell, junior goalie Lauren Slebodnick and Fortino all made the league's Second Team.

Campbell has had a terrific offensive year, scoring 15 goals including very important ones against Harvard earlier this month. She has four game-winning goals, tied for the second-most on the team.

Slebodnick has been a rock in net for the Big Red, moving up the school's all-time wins list. She is currently tied for second and is only six wins shy of the all-time lead. She has posted a 1.34 goals against average this season and earned five shutouts.

Fortino, partnered with Rougeau on the blue line most of the time, is a +26 this season. She had two crucial goals at Union last weekend to help Cornell secure its fourth consecutive ECAC Hockey championship.

Earning Honorable Mention All-Ivy was forward Erin Barley-Maloney and defenseman Alyssa Gagliardi.

Barley-Maloney, one of the team's three seniors, has stepped up her offense in her last year with the team. She has 18 points on five goals and 13 assists, and she has scored Cornell's first goal twice this year. She stays out of the penalty box with just eight penalty minutes this season, and she is a +15 on the ice.

Gagliardi, an assistant captain for the Big Red, is the team's premier shot blocker. Never afraid to sacrifice her body for the puck, Gagliardi also contributes on the offensive end of the ice. She has scored five goals and added 13 assists for 18 total points, and she is a +15 in the plus/minus category. She was also named to the Honorable Mention All-Ivy category after the 2011-12 season.
