ITHACA, N.Y. – Cornell women's hockey defenseman Alyssa Gagliardi has been named to the U.S. Women's National Team Selection Camp that will take place in mid-June, USA Hockey announced on Monday.
 
Gagliardi, a rising senior and an assistant captain on the Cornell roster last year, was also invited to the U.S. Women's training camp back in March and competed at her country's Winter Camp over winter break this year.
 
The Selection Camp will be held from June 16-23 in Lake Placid, N.Y. and will feature 41 players competing for a spot on the U.S. Women's National Team roster that will compete together in preparation for the 2014 Winter Olympics.
 
As a part of the Selection Camp, Gagliardi will participate in off-ice testing, intrasquad scrimmages and daily practices.
 
USA Hockey will announce its final 21-player roster for the Olympics in late December.
