CALGARY, Alta. — Five Cornell women's hockey alumnae — Rebecca Johnston '12, Laura Fortino '13, Lauriane Rougeau '13, Jessica Campbell '14 and
Jillian Saulnier '15 — have been named to the 22-player Canadian National Women's Team roster for the upcoming Four Nations Cup in Sweden.
Johnston, Fortino and Rougeau earned gold medals with the Canadian national team at the 2014 Olympic Games in Sochi, Russia, and at the 2014 Four Nations Cup in Kamloops, B.C., and won silver at the 2015 IIHF Women's World Championships in Malmö, Sweden. Campbell and Saulnier were also a part of the silver medal 2015 World Championship team and last year's Four Nations Cup team.
Team Canada opens the Four Nations Cup at 9:30 a.m. EST on Nov. 4 against Finland before renewing its rivalry with the United States at 12:30 p.m. on Nov. 5, when the Cornell alumnae will face off against former teammate Alyssa Gagliardi '14. Canada's final game of the preliminary round is at 7 a.m. on Nov. 7 against host Sweden.
The top two teams will compete for gold at 8:30 a.m. on Nov. 8.
