ITHACA, N.Y. -- The Cornell coed sailing team finished 18th at the Atlantic Coast Championship this weekend at Old Dominion against one of the top fields in the country. The regatta closed the book on the fall season for the Big Red sailors.

Over two days and 10 races, the Big Red's B Division entry of Shawn Kelter skippering and Lindsay Gimple (races 1-2) and Diana Otis (races 3-10) placed 17th among the teams with 124 points, including three top 10 finishes. The Big Red had a pair of sixth-place finishes on the day and finished with two top 10 efforts in the final three races.

Claire Riedman crewed the A Division team that used three different skippers - Alex Woloshyn in races 1-4, Daniel Birmingham in races 5-6 and Clark Uhl in races 7-10.

Coast Guard took the regatta title with 127 total points.
