NORFOLK, Va. – Senior
Quinn Howes finished 11th among a national field at the LaserPerformance Women's Singlehanded Championship on Saturday and Sunday at Old Dominion. Howes was consistently strong all weekend, placing as high as fifth at the 11-race regatta.
Howes battled back after retiring after her finish in the first race to put her two points behind the field. She made up for it with six top 10 finishes in the remaining 10 races, including a fifth place effort in the ninth race of the weekend. That completed a stretch of six top 10 finishes in eight races. Howes ended the weekend with 123 points, just four points outside of the top 10.
