ITHACA, N.Y. — Due to the threat of inclement weather, Saturday's track and field meet, originally scheduled as the Cornell Invitational at the Kane Sports Complex, has been moved indoors to Barton Hall and renamed the Cornell April Cabin Fever Invitational. The Big Red will welcome a contingent of local teams, including Binghamton, Bryant and Stratton, Colgate, Daemen and Ithaca.
Because it will be held indoors during outdoor track season, the meet will not be allowed to count towards NCAA outdoor qualifying purposes and will feature a number of nontraditional events. Field events, which begin at noon, include the shot put, long jump, triple jump, high jump and pole vault. Track events also start at noon, beginning with the 2K Steeplechase. The 200 meter dash will be the meet's shortest event. The full schedule can be found

Currently ranked second in the Northeast, the Big Red got its outdoor season off to a strong start on a Spring Break trip to California, getting a team win at UC Riverside before placing fifth in a tough field at UCLA. At UCLA, senior
Caroline Kellner dominated the 10K, winning by over three minutes, finishing in 33:51.94, good for one of the top performances in the NCAA so far this season. Sophomore
Taysia Radoslav also produced an NCAA top-20 performance in the 400 meter hurdles, winning in 57.95 seconds. Senior
Udeme Akpaete finished second in the 400 in 54.76, while freshman
Briar Brumley was runner-up in the 1500 at 4:37.53.
In the field, senior
Camryn Goodman and sophomore
Taylor Baker posted ECAC-qualifying results, throwing for 148-2 and 141-1, respectively.
After hosting Saturday's indoor meet, the Big Red will head back outside for the Bucknell Invitational on April 16 and 17.
