As a Senior (2018)
• Senior Captain
• Second-Team All-Ivy
• Ranks sixth in school history in career draw controls (107) and tied for fifth in free position goals (26).
• Broke the 100-point barrier at Brown to tally 109 in her collegiate career.
• Started in all 15 games, ranking fifth on the team in points (27) and goals (20) and third in assists (7).
• Also second in ground balls (22) and draw controls (37) and third in caused turnovers (15).
• Set career highs in goals (4, at Brown), points (4, at Brown and at Binghamton), and draw controls (6, Columbia).
• Tied career highs in assists (2, at Binghamton) and caused turnovers (3, Rutgers).
• Had eight multi-point games and six multi-goal matches.
• Scored the game-winning overtime goal at Colgate.
As a Junior (2017)
• Remained a centerpiece of both the Cornell offense and defense as a junior, proving to be a consistent and reliable performer on both ends.
• Offensively, finished with career-highs in points (36) and goals (30) while sitting fifth on the team in both of those categories.
• Was also second on the team with a career-high 38 ground balls, third in draw controls (34) and fifth with a career-high 13 caused turnovers.
• Had 14 multiple-point games on the year and earned hat tricks against Colgate, USC, UAlbany, Syracuse and Notre Dame. • Against Yale on March 25, had two goals, seven ground balls and two draw controls.
• Her five total points in Cornell’s two NCAA Tournament games – including three goals, four ground balls and three draw controls against Notre Dame – moved her into second all-time in program history with 12 career tournament points.
• Was named honorable mention All-Ivy and earned a spot on the Ivy League All-Tournament Team.
As a Sophomore (2016)
• Had a breakout season as a sophomore, finishing the season with 34 points on 23 goals and 11 assists.
• Posted multiple points on 10 occasions, netting first career hat trick in a 10-6 win over Yale early in the season.
• Scored twice in Cornell's 10-7 statement win against Penn State before exploding for 13 points in the final four games of the season.
• Sparked the Big Red's comeback in the Ivy League Tournament Semifinal, scoring three times in the first seven minutes of the second half to help Cornell to a 10-9 overtime win, its first tournament win in program history.
• Tacked on two goals and an assist in the championship victory over Penn to be named the tournament's Most Outstanding Player.
• Then posted three goals and an assist in the team's NCAA First Round win over Canisius and had two goals and an assist in the Second Round game against Massachusetts.
• On the other side of the ball, caused three turnovers against defending National Champion, Maryland, finishing with 11 caused turnovers, 30 draw controls and 29 ground balls, earning Second-Team All-Ivy for her efforts.
As a Freshman (2015)
• Appeared in 10 contests – including eight starts – before her rookie campaign was cut short due to injury.
• Tallied her first collegiate goal and point in her college debut at Temple on 2/21.
• Collected first collegiate assist in a victory over Colgate on 3/4.
• Tallied multi-point games in three contests, collecting two in victories over Binghamton (3/11), Columbia (3/14), and Stanford (3/31).
• Concluded the year with nine goals and three assists, while adding 13 ground balls, five caused turnovers and six draw controls.
Before Cornell
• Reed was a multi-sport athlete at Honeoye Falls, participating in basketball and soccer in addition to lacrosse.
• She lettered in basketball and soccer in her sophomore through senior years, while she lettered in lacrosse all four years. Lacrosse was always her true passion.
• She led the Cougars to four consecutive New York State Tournament appearances, twice advancing to the championship game.
• She earned Second Team All-Monroe County in her sophomore season, before taking step forward in her final two seasons.
• She was named First Team All-Monroe County in each of her final two seasons, while she was named All Greater Rochester Player of the Year for 2014.
• She led Honeoye Falls to the state championship game in her senior season en route to being named to the All-Tournament Team.
• She was named a US Lacrosse All-American at the conclusion of her senior season.
• Academically, Reed was also a National Merit Scholarship Finalist, while she was named a US Lacrosse Academic All-American her senior year.
Personal
• Taylor Makenzie Reed is the daughter of Mark and Renee Reed.
• She has one older sister, Jordan, who attends the University of Pennsylvania ’17.
• She also has two younger sisters, Bailey and Payton.
