Biography
As a senior
Lizzio did not play for Cornell during her senior year.
As a junior
Lizzio took part in two games during her junior season, earning playing time in wins against Columbia and at Binghamton. She took one shot against the Lions.
As a sophomore
Lizzio played in a pair of contests in 2011, coming off the bench against both Brown and Yale. She scored her first career goal on her first varsity shot against the Bulldogs.
As a freshman
Lizzio did not see any varsity action in 2010.
At New Canaan HS
An honorable mention U.S. Lacrosse All-American as a senior at New Canaan HS, Lizzio was a first-team all-league and all-state selection as team captain. She was a first-team all-conference pick as a junior and a member of the Connecticut Super Junior team. Lizzio also competed for the cross country and indoor track teams for four years.
Personal
Veronica Sara Lizzio is the daughter of Joe and Valentina Lizzio and has a younger sister. Lizzio’s father, Joe, was a three-year letter winner on the Big Red men’s lacrosse team (1986-88) who played on a pair of national runner-up teams. She is enrolled in the College of Arts and Sciences.
