As a Senior (2014)
Thomas started all 16 games for the Big Red and had a solid season in the backfield. She recorded 13 ground balls, four draw controls and caused nine turnovers. Against then-No. 13 Stanford, she had a season-high two ground balls, one draw control and two caused turnovers.

As a Junior (2013)
Thomas saw a much larger role in the Big Red lineup in her junior season than any year before. She started in 12 games as a defender helping to silence opposing attackers all year long. Thomas had career highs in ground balls, draw controls and caused turnovers with 21, nine and nine, respectively. She had twice had a career high with four ground balls against Penn State and Boston University, and she controlled two draws in three games in 2013.

As a Sophomore (2012)
Thomas played in 12 games during her sophomore campaign, starting in two. She ended the year with four ground balls, two draw controls and one caused turnover.

As a Freshman (2011)
Thomas played in seven contests as a freshman in 2011, including earning her first varsity start in the Big Red's upset of No. 2 Florida. Thomas won a ground ball and had a caused turnover against Dartmouth and won a draw in the victory over Yale.

Before Cornell
A three-year starter who won three state titles at Darien HS, Thomas was named the team's Defensive Player of the Year as a senior. A three-sport star, she also lettered four times each in soccer and track and field. A three-year starter in soccer, Thomas was team captain as a senior and helped the team to a league crown as a junior. In track, Thomas was part of two state title-winning teams and a pair of state runner-ups. An all-league honoree, Thomas finished sixth in the state in the 1,600 and finished in the top 20 in New England. She earned the school's Senior Excellence in Athletics Award as a senior.

Personal
Catarina Ferreira Thomas is the daughter of Chuck and Manuela Thomas and has an older sister. She is enrolled in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences.
