As a senior (2016-17)
• Scored in the 100 fly at the Ivy League Championships.
• Competed in seven meets during the season.
• Had four top five event finishes during the season.
• Posted the third-fastest butterfly times on the team.
As a junior (2015-16)
• Posted a career-best time of 55.51 in the 100 butterfly to finish 15th overall at the 2016 Ivy League Championships, good for the fourth-fastest time in Cornell history.
• Also scored in the 200 fly in 17th place.
• Won the 200 fly in a dual meet victory over Binghamton.
• Placed second in both the 100 and 200 fly races at the Ithaca Bomber Invitational.
• Secured the team’s fastest time of the season in the 100 fly and the second-fastest in the 200 fly.
As a sophomore (2014-15)
• Made the Ivy League Championship meet in the 100 and 200 fly and the 50, 100 and 200 free.
• Made the B finals in both the 100 and 200 fly, scoring in both events, as well as adding points in the 100 free.
• Won the 200 free at the Bomber Invitational with a 1:57.28.
• Won the 200 fly in a dual meet against Dartmouth and Harvard and also placed first in the 200 fly against Binghamton.
• Had the team’s second-best time in both butterfly events during the season and had the fourth-fastest time in the 50, 100 and 200 free events.
As a freshman (2013-14)
• Cecere experienced a very solid freshman season for the Big Red.
• Focusing on the 100 and 200 freestyle, plus the 200 butterfly, Cecere contributed significantly to Cornell’s successful dual meet season.
• Qualifying for the women’s Ivy Championship team, she was a member of two school record relays (400 free and 800 free) and finished the season with all-time top 10 times in the 100 free (ninth); 200 free (fourth) and 200 butterfly (third).
Prior to Cornell
•
The Daily Record Swimmer of the Year in 2012, Cecere was a four-year letter winner and team captain at West Morris Mendham HS.
• She placed first in the 400 free relay twice at the Meet of Champions and finished as high as second in the 100 fly as a senior and third in the 200 free as a junior.
• While competing for the Somerset Hills YMCA club team, she won three state titles in the 200 free (2010-12) and qualified for the national team from 2009-13.
Personal
• Isabelle Catherine Cecere is the daughter of Robert and Elizabeth Cecere and has an older and younger sister.
• She is enrolled in the College of Arts and Sciences.
