Bobby Savino has been named an assistant coach for the upcoming 2016-17 women's basketball season.
Savino comes to Cornell after three years as the Director of Status Pro Athletics, an AAU basketball company featuring six teams and two tournaments. With Status Pro, he was responsible for organizing two 65-team tournaments as well as serving as head coach for the junior class team. Savino also spent two years as an assistant coach for the boys’ varsity team at the Cambridge School of Weston, as well as serving as a private basketball coach, training individuals and teams on the middle school and high school level. Savino also brings additional experience as the program manager of the Waltham Boston Sports Club, and as the assistant director of the Cornell University Summer School.
Savino graduated from Ithaca College in 2013 with a bachelor of science degree in sports management.
