ITHACA, N.Y. -- A three-goal outburst in the second half broke open a close game as the Cornell women's soccer team dropped a 4-0 contest to Princeton on Saturday night at Berman Field in Ithaca. Princeton is now 11-2-2 on the year and 4-1-1 in Ivy League play, while Cornell slips to 2-11-1 overall and 1-5 in league action.

Princeton's Alissa Boddie was a one-man wrecking crew, scoring the first three goals of the game and assisting on the fourth as the Tigers sent the Big Red to defeat. Boddie tallied her first marker in the 23rd minute, then added goals in the 55th and 64th minutes to help break open the contest. She then assisted on Princeton's final goal, scored by Sarah Peteraf in the 69th minute.

Cornell was out-shot in the contest, 20-9, but only one of the Cornell shots was on goal and was stopped by starting goalkeeper Alyssa Pont. Cornell starter Kelly Murphy made six saves in the first 70 minutes of the match while allowing four goals, with sophomore Jodi Palmer coming on in relief and making one stop in the final 20 minutes.

Cornell closes out the regular season on Saturday, Nov. 8, when it plays host to Dartmouth in a 4:30 p.m. contest at Berman Field. The game against the Big Green will serve as Senior Day for the lone senior on the Cornell roster, Whitney Stich.
