ITHACA, N.Y. -- In a rematch of the 2009 national semifinals, Cornell faced Texas A&M in the semifinals of the William S. Field Invitational on Friday evening at Oxley Equestrian Center, and just like the national meet, the Aggies came out on top. Texas A&M advanced to the finals of the tournament with an 18-12 triumph over the Big Red.

Cornell had trouble getting much going against the Aggies and came out of the first chukker down 5-1. The Big Red  made a run in the second and got to within a goal, but the Aggies responded and took a 9-6 lead into the half. Cornell couldn't get on top of Texas A&M and this continued in the third. A young Cornell team got into some foul trouble which kept them from ever being able to get over the hump. The Aggies would continue to play consistently to beat the Big Red 18-12.
