Buffalo Edges Out Women's Tennis, 4-3

ITHACA, N.Y.—The Big Red women's tennis team was edged out by Buffalo, 4-3, on Saturday at the Reis Tennis Center. Buffalo won the doubles' point and secured the victory with three singles wins. Cornell moves to 3-4 overall for the season.

In doubles play, Elizabeth Googe and Shayna Miller teamed up to defeat Subenkova and Stan, 8-6. In singles, Googe picked up a 6-3, 2-6, 10-8 win over Stan at the No. 3 spot. Miller defeated her opponent 7-6 (4), 6-4 at the No. 4 position. Leah Seyburn picked up a win at the No. 6 position for Cornell with a 6-4, 6-3 victory over Subenkova.

The Big Red will play at Syracuse on Feb. 27.
