AZUSA, Calif.—The Big Red women's tennis team defeated Azusa Pacific, 7-0, on Tuesday evening. Cornell won the doubles point and followed by sweeping all six singles matches.
The Big Red opened the day with wins at the No. 1 and No. 2 doubles positions to clinch the point. Senior
Shayna Miller added another point for the Big Red with a win at the No. 3 position, and
Stephanie Kent defeated Sheryl Bon, 6-2, 6-1 to put Cornell up, 3-0. At the No. 4 spot,
Natalia Sanchez picked up a win to seal Cornell's victory.
The Big Red will play at Long Beach on Wednesday afternoon.
