ITHACA, N.Y. -- Juniors Colin Greening and Brendon Nash were both named first-team All-Ivy League, highlighting five Cornell players to receive honors among the six league schools in voting conducted by the league's coaches. Junior Blake Gallagher received second-team all-league honors, with sophomore Riley Nash and junior goaltender Ben Scrivens earning honorable mention.

Voting for the awards was limited to players' production in the 10 games among the Ivy League schools only. Nash and Greening become Cornell's first first-team All-Ivy League players in three seaosns since Matt Moulson and Ryan O'Byrne were honored by the conference in 2005-06. Cornell and league champion Yale both had a pair of first-team selections, while Dartmouth and Princeton both had a single first-team honoree.

Greening, the only unanimous selection on this year's first team, finished second in the Ivy League in scoring with 12 points on five goals and seven assists, two points behind Yale's Mark Arcobello for the league scoring lead. His five goals were tied for fourth in the league while his seven assists were tied for fifth. He had five points on the power play, tying him for seventh place among all league players.

Nash, meanwhile, finished tied for fifth among the league's defensemen with four points, on a goal and three assists, one of which came on the power play.

Gallagher earned second-team All-Ivy League honors after finishing tied for third in the league with 11 points on three goals and eight assists, the latter number ranking him tied for second in the league behind only Arcobello's nine assists. He also proved to be productive on the power play, with six of his points coming on the man advantage, including all three of his goals.

Nash, last year's Ivy League Rookie of the Year, earned honorable mention after posting eight points in league games on three goals and five assists. Four of his points, two goals and two assists, came with Cornell on the power play.

Scrivens earned honorable mention All-Ivy League for the second straight season, posting a 2.31 goals-against average and a .915 save percentage against Ivy League teams, ranking him fourth and fifth in the league, respectively.

The Big Red is off this week as it awaits its opponent in next weekend's quarterfinal round of the ECAC Hockey playoffs. Tickets for the playoff series are available at the Cornell Athletic Ticket Office at Bartels Hall, which is open Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
