PROVIDENCE, R.I. -- Cornell junior goalkeeper Megan Bartlett picked up six saves to help lead the Cornell women's soccer team to a scoreless tie at Brown on Sunday afternoon in Providence, R.I. The draw is the first for the Big Red since the opening game of 2009 and keeps Cornell at .500 on the season at 6-6-1 overall.

Despite being out-shot for the game, 20-6, the Big Red kept even on the season by holding the Bears off the scoreboard, holding Brown to six shots on the goal frame of the 14 attempted. Bartlett stopped four shots in the first half, then made one in the second and one in the second of two overtimes to preserve the draw.

Brown starting goalkeeper Amber Bledsoe picked up two saves in the first half, while MC Barrett made one second-half stop for the Bears.

While keeping the Big Red above the .500 mark for the season, it also kept Cornell head coach Danielle LaRoche unbeaten at Brown's Stevenson Field. The fourth-year bench boss earned her first Ivy League win at that venue when the two teams met there two seasons ago. LaRoche-coached teams are now 1-0-1 all-time at Stevenson Field.

Cornell returns home on Saturday to face Princeton in a 4 p.m. contest at Berman Field in Ithaca, opening up a two-game homestand to wrap up the 2010 season.
