ITHACA, N.Y. -- The Cornell men's and women's squash teams will play host to Harvard on Saturday, the home opener for the Big Red during the 2010-11 season. Saturday's matches, which begin at 11 a.m. at the Belkin International Squash Courts, will also conclude action for the Big Red until the team returns after the semester break in January.
Cornell's men enter the contest with Harvard with a 2-1 mark on the season after scoring wins over Franklin & Marshall and Penn but falling to Princeton two weeks ago.
Thomas Spettigue and
Rishi Jalan both posted 3-0 marks on the weekend, while Alex Domenick was 2-1 in his three matches. Saturday's matchup features the sixth-ranked Big Red taking on the fifth-ranked Crimson.
In the women's match, the seventh-ranked Big Red face a difficult challenge in the top-ranked Crimson. The Big Red went 1-2 in its season-opening weekend, downing Franklin & Marshall before falling to Penn and Princeton.
Jennifer Gemmell and Maggie Remsen both sported identical 2-1 marks on the weekend to lead the Big Red.
