THE MATCHUP – The Big Red welcomes Buffalo and Fairleigh Dickinson this Saturday, Feb. 20, to the Reis Tennis Center at 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m., respectively. Cornell is looking to start a winning streak for the spring season against the Bulls (2-1) and the Knights (2-1).

THE SERIES VS. BUFFALO – Cornell and Buffalo have met 20 times in the history of the men's tennis program and the Big Red has never lost to the Bulls, going 20-0 in the all-time series. The first meeting between the two squads was in 1933 when Cornell began its streak with a 9-0 victory.

SCOUTING THE BULLS – Though the Bulls lost last weekend against Penn State, they still have a 2-1 record in the season. Against the Nittany Lions, senior Kirill Kolomyts had Buffalo's lone win, playing at No. 3 singles and knocking off Penn State's Jason Lee in straight sets, 6-3, 6-4. At No. 1 singles, UB's Wojciech Starakiewicz forced a second-set tiebreaker against Eddie Bourchier, but dropped a 7-5, 7-6 (4) decision.

LAST TIME VS. BUFFALO – The Big Red prevailed in a 4-3 victory over the Bulls at the Reis Tennis Center in the 2008 season, tallying another win in its 20-match streak against Buffalo. Cornell swept the doubles, while Jon Jaklitsch, Jon Fife, and Jeremy Feldman all won their single's matches to improve the Big Red to 2-0 on the season.

THE SERIES VS. FAIRLEIGH DICKINSON – Cornell and Fairleigh Dickinson have met a total of three times, beginning on March 18, 1998 with a 4-2 victory by the Big Red in South Carolina. Cornell has never lost to the Knights.

SCOUTING THE KNIGHTS – Last weekend, the Knights earned an 8-1 win over Queens College. Since Queens College is a Division II school, each doubles victory was worth one point, where Fairleigh Dickinson took wins at No. 1 and No. 2, before sweeping the singles matches.

LAST TIME VS. FAIRLEIGH DICKINSON – The Big Red triumphed over Fairleigh Dickinson in a 5-2 win on March 1, 2008 at the Reis Tennis Center. Cornell swept the doubles point then went 4-2 in singles to secure the win.

LAST TIME OUT FOR CORNELL – This past weekend, the Big Red competed in its final indoor tournament. On Friday, Cornell prevailed over St. John's, 7-0, before losing to Columbia, 2-5, and wrapping up the tournament with a 7-0 victory over Princeton at the Cullman-Heyman Tennis Center on the campus of Yale University.
