NEW HAVEN, Conn. -- The Cornell men's squash team entered the 2010 Potter A Division championships as the sixth seed, and that's where they finished up after falling to Harvard in the consolation final on Sunday afternoon in New Haven, Conn. Cornell fell by a 7-2 margin that was far closer than the final score would indicate.
Amar Gupta and
Rishi Jalan were the two winners on the day, with Gupta winning at the third position by a 3-0 score and Jalan needing four games to dispatch his opponent at the six spot. Of the seven games dropped by the Big Red, four went the full five games before falling, with only two of the seven being sweeps.
Next up for the Big Red is the CSA Individual Championships, which will be held on March 5-7 at Trinity.
