THE MATCHUP – The Big Red welcomes Stony Brook and St. Bonaventure to the Reis Tennis Center this Saturday, March 13. Cornell will compete against the Seawolves at noon before taking on the Bonnies at 6:00 p.m.
THE SERIES VS. STONY BROOK – Cornell and Stony Brook first met in 2001 where the Big Red earned the first of three straight victories in the series.
SCOUTING THE SEAWOLVES – The Seawolves have won all but one match this season, losing their most recent outing to Fairleigh Dickinson, 4-3. Stony Brook swept the doubles matches to earn the doubles point, but ran in to some trouble in the singles, winning just the No. 3, No. 5 and No. 6 spots.
LAST TIME VS. STONY BROOK – Cornell and Stony Brook last met in the spring of 2007 when Cornell pulled off another win in the series with a 6-1 victory. The Big Red earned the doubles point and earned a win in every singles match except for the No. 4 spot.
THE SERIES VS. ST. BONAVENTURE – Cornell and St. Bonaventure first met in 1992, where the Big Red earned the first of four straight victories in the series.
SCOUTING THE BONNIES – St. Bonaventure was shut out in its last outing by Binghamton to fall to 2-5 on the season.
LAST TIME VS. ST. BONAVENTURE – Cornell and St. Bonaventure last met in 2002 at the Reis Tennis Center, where the Big Red earned the shut out victory over the Bonnies.
LAST TIME OUT FOR CORNELL – This past Tuesday, Cornell fell to Syracuse, 5-2. The Big Red picked up wins from
Sarah O'Neil and
Susan Sullivan in the No. 4 and No. 5 spot, respectively.
UP NEXT – The Big Red will travel to Florida for Spring Break. Cornell will face Stetson on Wednesday, March 24, at 2:30 p.m., before taking on Rollins on Thursday, March 25, at 3:30 p.m.
