ITHACA, N.Y. -- The Big Red men's and women's polo teams will tune up for next weekend's U.S. Polo Association National Championship tournament with its final non-conference matchups of the season at Oxley Equestrian Center. The men will play host to Gardnertown on Thursday, April 1 at 5:30 p.m., while the women will meet the Baltimore Polo Club on Friday, April 2 at 7:30 p.m.
The women, the defending national runner-up, will bring a 15-1 record into the match. The No. 1 seed in next weekend's national championship tournament when the Big Red eyes its 12th national title, Cornell will meet the winner of Kentucky or Cal Poly on Wednesday, April 7 at the University of Virginia Polo Center in Charlottesville, Va. This will be Cornell's first-ever meeting with the Baltimore Polo Club.
The men, who bring a 13-4 record and a three-match win streak into the weekend, will be the No. 4 seed at the national tournament next weekend. Cornell will begin its journey for its 12th national crown on April 6 when it faces Texas Tech.
