THE MATCHUP – The Big Red welcomes Syracuse on Tuesday, March 9 to the Reis Tennis Center at 5:30 p.m. Cornell (4-4), which won its last outing over Marquette, 4-3, will look to pick up its second victory of the week against the 10-2 Orange.
THE SERIES VS. SYRACUSE – Cornell and Syracuse first met in 1985 and have competed 19 times since that time with the Orange owning the 13-6 record in the series.
SCOUTING THE ORANGE – The Orange is currently riding a four match winning-streak, most recently defeating Bucknell on March 7. Eleanor Peters and Christina Tan dominated the No. 3 and No. 6 singles, winning 6-0, as Syracuse won all but the No. 1 spot. Peters also picked up a win in her No.3 doubles match with Alessondra Parra with an 8-1 victory.
LAST TIME OUT FOR CORNELL – The Big Red slid by Marquette this past weekend in a 4-3 victory. They picked up wins at the No. 1, No. 2, No. 4 and No. 5 singles spots.

Christine Ordway also dominated at the No. 2 doubles spot.
UP NEXT – The Big Red is back in action this weekend as it will host Stony Brook and St. Bonaventure at the Reis Tennis Center on Saturday, March 13, 2010 at noon and 6:00 p.m., respectively.
