NEW YORK – The Cornell women's tennis team earned a victory in its first Ivy League contest of the season, defeating Columbia, 4-3, this afternoon at the Dick Savitt Tennis Center in New York City. The Big Red earned the doubles point and swept the bottom three single spots, with each of the deciding matches going three sets each. With the victory, Cornell improved to 11-5 on the season and stretched its current winning streak to seven matches.
The Big Red is back in action this weekend as it travels to Hanover, N.H., to take on Dartmouth on Friday, April 2 at 2 p.m.
