ITHACA, N.Y. -- Cornell's high powered offense struck again, pounding out 30 hits in just 11 innings in completing a sweep of Brown. The Big Red won game one 8-0 in six innings before pounding around the Bears 15-4 in five innings in the second contest. Cornell improved to 21-8 (7-1 Ivy), while Brown fell to 13-14 (2-6 Ivy). With the weekend sweep, the Big Red also took over sole possession of first place in the Ivy South Division, moving a full game ahead of Penn, who split a Sunday doubleheader with Dartmouth.
Every Big Red position starter batted at least .333, with six players recording at least three hits in the two contests. For the day, Cornell hit .469 as a team, while defensively the Big Red was perfect in 38 fielding chances.

In game one,
Elizabeth Dalrymple posted a complete game shutout and struck out 10 hitters, her four consecutive league start with double figure strikeouts to open the conference season. She allowed four hits and two walks.
Lauren Marx picked up the win in game two, striking out eight with just one walk in the easy victory.
