ITHACA, N.Y. – For just the eighth time in the 96-year history of the series with Harvard, the Cornell men's tennis team defeated the Crimson, 5-2, this afternoon at the Reis Tennis Center in Ithaca, N.Y. The Big Red earned the doubles point and picked up singles wins from Jon Jaklitsch (No. 2), Jon Fife (No. 4),
Evan Bernstein (No. 5) and
Mirza Klis (No. 6). With the victory, Cornell moves into second-place in the Ivy League standings with a 15-6 record overall and a mark of 2-1 in the conference.
The Big Red is back in action next weekend as it travels to Yale and Brown on Friday, April 9 and Saturday, April 10, respectively.
