CAMBRIDGE, Mass. -- The Cornell men's swimming and diving team dropped its season-opening tri meet against Dartmouth and Harvard on Saturday afternoon at Blodgett Pool. The men lost to Harvard 227.5-72.5 and to Dartmouth 187-113.
Cornell had several top three finishers, with Eric May placing second in both the 100 (58.64) and 200 breast (2:09.26) in his first official varsity meet. Harry Harpham placed third in the 200 free (1.42.86) and the 200 fly (1:52.88), while freshman William Middleton was third in the 100 back (52.18). Diver Jon Zollo was third in the 3-meter event (314.15). The 200 medley relay of Jake Sangren, May, Henry Scott and Chris Myers placed third overall (1:33.68) and the 200 free relay featuring Evan Ciecimirski, James Keady, Zac Mijares-Shafai and Chris Myers was also third in 1:25.76.
