PHILADELPHIA, Pa. -- The Cornell men's swimming and diving team returns home after a tough loss to both Princeton (192-88) and Penn (179.5-101.5) on Saturday afternoon at Sheerr Pool. The team had a number of solid swims, however were ultimately overpowered by the depth of their opponents.

Seniors Jake Sangren and Julian Chan had solid showings, with Sangren coming in second in the 100 backstroke (first against Penn) and Chan placing second in the 100 breaststroke (first against Princeton).

Freshman Eric May had another strong day with a second place finish in his 200 IM (first against Penn), as well as scoring in both his 100 and 200 breaststroke events. He was joined by solid performances from freshmen classmates Wil Middleton, Michael Reynolds and Brad Louie, who all contributed to team scoring at their second collegiate competition.

The Big Red will race again in two weeks at Ithaca College's invitational against a number of participating schools from the area.
