ITHACA, N.Y. – The No. 46 Big Red men's tennis team pulled out its fifth-straight 4-3 victory this afternoon, defeating Yale at the Reis Tennis Center to improve to 21-4 on the year and 4-0 in the Ivy League. The win also extends Cornell's home winning streak to 17 matches. With the loss, the Bulldogs slipped to 9-10 on the season (1-3 Ivy).
The Big Red swept the all three doubles matches to take the early 1-0 lead and then earned three straight-set wins at the bottom of the order to capture the victory.
In its next weekend of action, Cornell will travel to face Penn on Friday, April 15 at 2:00 p.m., before returning home for its match against Ithaca College at the Reis Tennis Center on Sunday, April 17 at 9:00 a.m, before taking on Princeton in a critical leaue match at 1 p.m.
