NEW YORK, N.Y. -- Senior Elizabeth Dalrymple threw another gem and the Big Red kept its hold of first place in the Ivy League's South Division with a doubleheader split at Columbia on Sunday afternoon. Cornell won game one 2-1, then dropped the nightcap 6-0 to move to 18-17-1 (7-4 Ivy). The Lions improved to 10-24 (2-9 Ivy).

Cornell scored twice in the third and held on, with Amiraian's sixth triple of the season driving in a run. The senior then scored on a sacrifice fly by Jenny Edwards.

Columbia scored a run in the seventh to get back within 2-1. Stephanie Yagi opened the inning with an infield single, and after a pair of outs, there was a single, an error and a hit batsman before Dalrymple forced a flyout to end the contest.

Amiraian finished game one 3-for-4 with a run scored and an RBI, while Morgan Cawley scored the first run and was 2-for-3. Dalrymple didn't allow an earned run, allowing six hits and striking out two in the victory.

The Lions scored four times in the second inning of game two, with Johnson's two-run homer highlighting the Columbia frame. Cornell would muster four hits in the game and get a strong outing from Ali Tomlinson, who didn't allow an earned run in 4.2 innings of work.

The two teams meet again tomorrow at 12:30 p.m. in the fourth game of the series, which was postponed from Saturday afternoon.
