CLEARWATER, Fla. -- Freshman Michiko McGivney homered in all three games on Sunday afternoon as Cornell went 2-1 on the final day of the USF-City of Clearwater Spring Invitational on Sunday afternoon. The Big Red now sits 6-7 on the season.

The Big Red opened day two of its annual Spring Break trip in style, pounding out 14 hits and scoring 10 runs in the first frame en route to an easy victory over the Bobcats. Freshman Meg Parker was 3-for-3 with two doubles, a home run, four RBI and three runs scored in a dominant effort. McGivney was 2-for-4 with a home run and both Kristen Towne and and Christina Villalon each had a pair of hits, including a double.

Cornell pounded out seven extra-base hits in the opener and Alyson Onyon picked up her fifth win of the year in a generally sweat-free performance. She allowed 12 hits and five runs but managed the game after the team went up 12-1 by the third.

Parker continued her torrid day in the nightcap with a 2-for-2 day with a pair of walks and picked up the win in the circle, the first of her collegiate career, in the victory over Boston College. McGivney was 1-for-3 with a second home run of the day. She added a walk, three runs scored and two RBI. Emily Weinberg also had a pair of hits in the victory.

The Big Red dropped a 4-3 game in between the wins, though McGivney again homered. She was 2-for-4, while Erin Belles was a perfect 2-for-2.
