Box Score ITHACA, N.Y. – Men's soccer and Lafayette battled to a scoreless draw in chilly conditions Tuesday night on Berman Field. The tie brings the Big Red's record to 5-0-2 in 2013 and extends the team's non-conference regular season unbeaten streak to 24 games.

Cornell dominated the play throughout regulation and both overtime periods, limiting the Leopards to just five shots, while taking 15 of its own.

Though the Big Red was able to create numerous scoring opportunities; its best chances came in the last 25 minutes of regulation.

In the 68th minute senior midfielder Benjamin Williams played a ball into the box from 40 yards out to defender Jake Kirsch who was pulled up on a set piece. Kirsch turned to chip the ball over Leopards goalkeeper Nathan McDonald, but was in too tight around the six-yard-line and sent the ball over the net.

Cornell was able to generate another scoring chance in the 90th minute when junior midfielder Atticus DeProspo was able to sneak in behind the Lafayette defense to get his head on a long ball from midfield. However, DeProspo headed the ball into the awaiting arms of McDonald, who made his fifth save of the game to hold the score at 0-0.

Senior goalkeeper Kurtis Teskoski made his first career start in goal for the Big Red and recorded two saves; one in each overtime. The first came in the 92nd minute on a hard shot from Lafayette's leading score Peter Adubato that skipped across the wet pitch from 20 yards out. Teskoski played the hop and fell on the ball to squash the Leopards most legitimate scoring opportunity of the game.

Junior Conor Goepel led the Big Red with five shots, including three on goal.

Cornell will return to action on Friday, Sept. 27 on the road against the University at Buffalo at 5 p.m.
